We had an extremely exciting phone call a few weeks ago, we were approached by a large-scale events company that were hosting a corporate team building event for a client. They wouldn’t divulge who the client was, my initial thought was that it would be the Queen, alas it wasn’t!

They had reached us through our website, they liked the look of our team building activities and challenges. After a while we suggested the mobile climbing towers as these are an incredible activity that works well for corporate team building days. We designed the challenges, created a programme and presented the events company with all the information they needed. It was only a short wait before they phoned us up to say they had already deposited the money in our bank as they knew we were the right company for the job!

A few more conversations about logistics and timings and we were all set to attend the event. It was commented on afterwards how helpful and accommodating the office staff were in making sure we made the booking process as easy as possible.

With any corporate team building we want to make sure we gauge the activities to the learning outcomes that the client wants. Everybody is different, some team building days are just about fun and getting to know each other better, others are communication, problem solving or thinking ‘outside the box’. We spoke in depth with the organisers and knew they wanted this activity to be challenging, encourage team work, communication and above all great fun for the people taking part and the spectators.

On the day, we did all that and more…. Each team was met by their ‘host’. They were greeted and explained the rules. 3 different activities; cargo netleap of faith and Jacob’s ladder. Each person in the team had to do a different activity finding out what each persons’ strengths were. Then once these were completed they moved on to the finale, Crate stacking! Here they had to build the highest tower in the fastest time. Each team came up with new and interesting ways to build a higher tower some working well some literally falling to the ground!

Every activity got people talking, working together and interacting to build positive relationships that will be taken back into the office creating a more harmonious and productive working environment.
